Red Bull

Sales Rep App

Background

Red Bull in Australia (RBAU) as in most countries are the leading brand and most recognisable energy drinks company.

We were approached by RBAU to build an iOS app for their sales team (The Strikers), which enabled their team to reduce (and eventually negate) the need for the team to carry multiple devices. The idea was that the team migrate away from using Laptops and carrying brochures to work more optimally on their iPads.

The apps main functionality was for marketing content delivery. As with most companies, it is quite often the case that multiple versions of documents make their way out via email and connections to internal servers - resulting in confusion.

The nature of a sales team sees them out on the road more than they are in the offices - they need to be making sales after all!

The Brief

The brief was to arm the Strikers with an app which allows the admin team at HQ to keep content and important documentation that the sales team required, up-to-date at all times.

The app also needed to allow the teams to fill in dynamic PDF forms and submit that information efficiently without the need to bring in paper forms or email multiple forms.

The Result

We created a bespoke iOS app for iPads called Co-Pilot.

This app was distributed to the 150 strong sales force over Australia and then later New Zealand.

The app allowed the admin staff within HQ to set up and brand as many folders as they would like and distribute content immediately to the sales team. The App would synchronise and ensure the team always had access to the latest documents, images, pdfs, videos and forms.

We built in multiple bespoke ‘mini apps’ to assist the strikers in making their sales across their country. These included tax calculators, volume pricing and even loyalty calculators.

With the energy drinks market being so competitive, we also created a refrigerator planograms ‘mini app’ to help the staff quickly and efficiently look up the contracted shelf space agreement within supermarkets to ensure other brands hadn’t taken over – this happens a lot.

The stand out feature for this is the ability for staff to fill in a dynamic form on their iPad with the client and have them sign the document. This is then saved as a copy and synchronised up to the server in both PDF form and Excel. The Excel is further split into individual spreadsheets with the information as well as the larger spreadsheet containing all submissions. This feature saves the team countless amounts of time over getting printed forms hand filled and then sent in – either scanned and emailed or as a paper form.
